Hearts & Hands is inspired by the ability to create change through awareness and education. Its purpose is to share information and insight surrounding global social, political and economic issues. Through information sharing and awareness we can become more aware of the changes that can be made to make this world a better place.

Collaboration in societies through contributing knowledge, voicing opinions and taking actions on social economic and political issues can make a difference. There have been some profound social movements that have taken place, especially in consumer culture. An example is the impact of ethical consumerism in environmentalism, fair trade, local sustainable and organic food initiatives.  Consumer demands have impacted markets to make changes.

The changes that have been made have affected societal and consumer culture as well as enabled greater access to such things as organic produce, socially ethically made products, health foods and environmentally friendly products. These are differences because of people making decisions and collaborating, they are examples of how people, not just governments have the ability to shape society and social, economic and political reforms. Government and Non-government organizations have also created awareness about global issues of inequalities and have advocated and practised transparency. They have proven that people’s voices can make a change.
